SWACCS is organized between researchers at 14 different universities whose vision is a chemical-safe world. The vision includes all types of anthropogenic chemicals created, refined into, or transformed by the environment or biota; the vision relates to human and wildlife health and the sustainability of the abiotic environment; the vision includes all disciplines for the creation of a chemical-safe world: science, medicine, engineering, social science, law, and economics. The vision aims at effective collaboration between academic research and education on one side and societal sectors on the other.

SWACCS is organized in a steering committee (SSC), where all university nodes are represented. SWACCS executive group (SWEG) has a coordinating role. Working groups (WG) are gathered around a task or question and is changing depending on the activities. We welcome anyone interested to participate in the WGs, from PhD students to retired researchers.
