SWACCS is a network of researchers from 14 different universities whose vision is a chemical-safe world. The research conducted within SWACCS includes all disciplines and aims at effective collaboration between academic research and education on one side and societal sectors on the other.

SWACCS is organized in a steering committee (SSC), where all university nodes are represented. SWACCS executive group (SWEG) has a coordinating role. Working groups (WG) are gathered around a task or question and is changing depending on the activities. We welcome anyone interested to participate in the WGs, from PhD students to retired researchers. If you are interested to join then contact anyone in SWEG, or send an inquiry to: swaccscommunication@gmail.com

SWACCS steering committee (SSC)

The steering committee of SWACCS is central to the work conducted. We aim for two representatives from each university, or node. SSC meets 4-5 times a year. Their main task is to facilitate a two-way communication, informing SWACCS about events and activities at their university, and to inform their university about activities within SWACCS network. Many steering group members are also active in different working groups.

SWACCS executive group (SWEG)

SWEG meets every second week and has the coordinating role of SWACCS. The members are elected every 2nd year by the SSC. SWEG communicate with the WGs and moderates the SSC meetings

SWACCS Edu-group

SWACCS education group was formed 2020. They meet monthly. Their aim is to identify needs regarding educational questions on advanced level. They collect information about courses to be shared between universities, and can create PhD courses when there is a need (See Regulatory toxicology). Since 2024, they are part of JAWS organization to ensure continuation
